Taco Bell Foundation Announces Semi-Finalists for Inaugural Ambition Accelerator in India

Empowering Young, Ambitious Social Entrepreneurs

The Taco Bell Foundation, in partnership with global social entrepreneurship organization Ashoka, has announced the semi-finalists for its inaugural Ambition Accelerator program in India. The program aims to support young, ambitious social entrepreneurs who are addressing pressing social and environmental challenges in the country.

Candidates Selected from Diverse Backgrounds

The 20 semi-finalists were chosen from over 1,000 applications received from social entrepreneurs across India. They represent a diverse range of backgrounds, with projects focused on issues such as education, healthcare, food security, and climate change.

The semi-finalists will undergo a rigorous selection process, which includes mentoring, coaching, and training, to refine their ideas and demonstrate the impact of their work. Up to 10 finalists will be selected to receive a grant of up to $10,000 to implement their projects.

Supporting Youth Empowerment

"We believe that young people have the potential to change the world," said Taco Bell Foundation Executive Director Eric Bellinger. "Through the Ambition Accelerator, we aim to empower these young social entrepreneurs and provide them with the resources and support they need to make a positive impact in their communities."

The Taco Bell Ambition Accelerator is part of Yum! Brands' global Unlocking Opportunity initiative, which focuses on empowering young people around the world through education, employment, and entrepreneurship. By supporting these young social entrepreneurs, the Taco Bell Foundation hopes to inspire hope and drive lasting change in India.
